One of my favorites is a program that scans all of your cards with barcodes(store discounts, blockbuster, gym, bookstore, library) into the program so you don't have to carry all the cards in your wallet any more.
I can't recall the name right now but it will be easy to find in the android marketplace.

First off: UniversalAndroot 1.6.1 - APK you can download and run on your phone to easily root your phone (confirmed to work on Hero, Droid, Droid x, ect).
ROM Manager - allows you to easily download and install customer ROMs.
SetCPU - free download from XDA forums, overclock your CPU.
MinFreeManager - like ATK but uses Android's built in memory manager using much less resources.
Erase Market - erases your market history.
Terminal Emulator - allows you to run ADB commands from you phone.
Titanium Backup - backup up all your apps to your SD card.
Rescan Media - reloads all your media from SD, ect.

Your choice of wording in the title was horrendous, and thus I will not give you a list. Next time, try not to ambiguate an adjective with a pronoun, else you may cause quite the confusion.
