GSM sinals do not have that much strength in mountains or valleys. Since CDMA use a lower frequency most of the time it will work on mountians/valleys. Lower frequencies???
GSM 1900 operates at 1.9GHz
CDMA 1900 operates at 1.9 GHz
GSM 800 operates at 800 MHz
CDMA 800 operates at 800 MHz
If you use Verizon you are using CDMA 800, Sprint CDMA 1900, Cingular GSM 800, T mobile GSM 1900, so what are talking about lower frequency??
