MIT researchers discover new energy source that is non toxic

They said laptop batteries waste a lot of energy.
I keep wondering when we are ever going to get past lithium ion.

I don't know if all do, but some SE phones have Li-Polymer.

I just keep wondering with smartphones hitting the market that are as feature packed as the HTC HD2/Supersonic when lithium ion batteries are going to get maxed out.

These smartphone companies have got to be testing some sort of nextgen battery tech!!!

they claim fuel cells will be the next big thing. you will never have to charge the phone the cell will outlive the device

Uh huh, and haven't fuel cells been in the works for like 150yrs?!!!? I have a bad feeling we're stuck with Li-Ion for AT LEAST 2 more years.

I would say you are correct. I believe the gvnt gave sprint a bunch of money to develop fuel cells
