Running with a SIM card
We are looking for phones that offer to our customers for use with a robot that we are manufacturing. Our robot requires a Bluetooth controller and the first version of the controller program was written for Windows Mobile.
Some of our customers already have a WM device and can download the software and install it, but others have to buy a WM phone or PDA separately. We would like to buy a stock of new and used phones and/or PDAs that we can offer to our customers who don't already have them. Many of our customers will buy these phones from us solely to use with our robot and do not want to get phone service for the phone.
But one thing that we are finding difficult to discover is which phones will allow the user to do things like upload software and run programs that use the Bluetooth when the device does not have a SIM card present.
So, any idea how to discover this information without actually buying a phone and trying it for ourselves? And does anyone know the answer for the HTC 2125 specifically, since we see a lot of them for sale used at about the lowest price of any? Thanks!
