Yeah but why would you want to rely on a home made slug to take a deer? Wax slugs were made out of necessity, not because they're better. Just use a foster slug or better yet, get a rifled barrel and use a sabot slug. To me the only thing wax slugs are good for is a last resort or just experimenting/for science.
