No. I started going to conventions last year and felt like a fish out of water for my poor business attire. Part of that is the parcel. 
You look unprepared without one, you look out of place with too casual of one. American Psycho was a little too close to home with how the professional world operates. I always feel like the "new money" equivalent in that world. If you just shop for a brief they tend to run around $400.00 in department stores unless you get a laptop brief in which case they're around $40.00. Haven't figured the reasoning out yet.
