Dip the broken pieces in Plaster of Paris and then put them together, binding them in place until it dries (allowing at least 24 hours to ensure that it sets thoroughly).

After that, you'll need to remove the twine with scissors and sand the rough areas of spill-out.

A department store's interior coordination manager should be able to help you correctly mix a custom paint in order to seamlessly match the color of the plaster to that of the newly mended heart.
