The Second Amendment is anachronistic and incomplete, but that doesn't mean that I consider it bad in concept.
On the other hand, your assault rifle is going to do you just as much good as that flintlock should Big Brother decide to deploy a bit of oppression in your neighborhood. Might as well go with the one that'll let you shoot longer.
