Personally, I think it depends on what you want out of life. I want a successful career with money but it wouldn't mean anything without a partner in crime.

But I can also understand the part about wanting to have fun when you're young. Being 23 in a steady relationship scares the sh*t out of me for many reasons. The fact that I could be wasting my time, and the fact that this could be the very last person ever. I'm not saying I want to be with other people but just thinking about a life with someone forever is odd to me because I have yet to see that kind of relationship in front of me.

I use to believe that I never wanted kids and marriage but now that I'm getting older and seeing that this isn't where I'm always gonna be changes my mind. It doesn't mean I want to get married today or 5 years from now. Just that I'm ready to except the premise of it all.

I think each relationship is different and it depends on what you're personal goals are and if that person can go along with the ride with you and vice versa.
