There is already a party like that: Libertarians. The problem with the Republican Party is that there are too many disparate voices in it. People who truly have little in common other than their opposition to Liberals. Fiscal conservatives and social conservatives can only be held together so long as the liberals are unwilling to reach across the aisle. The moment the coalition breaks...well we saw what happens.
