I agree on abortion. It might be a good start to clarify what forms people are railing against. The mixed message is a little difficult to follow really.

Companies are making profits. Suggesting that a person's personal income tax is going to kill their business is silly to me. High income taxes are at their lowest in decades.

People do "vote against Santa Claus". Romney still came away with a large portion of the electorate. I disagree with the notion that social programs are Santa Claus esque gifts though. I voted for Obama. I make a combined income over $100k a year. I came up from rather poor origins though and sympathise with those in like positions.

How can you be against abortion and against providing brith control? Lack of medical care and education is what leads to unwanted pregancies and abortion. Possibly worse yet is an unwanted/unafordable pregnancy and poor life that follows.

I have a coworker who is currently pregant with her boyfriend and using her husbands military insurance to fund the pregancy. She voted for Romney. Just an FYI.
