Replying to:  Daaaaaaaaamn! ROUND ONE! Obama on the ropes all round. by fiercemouse   Oct 3, 2012, 9:45 PM

If anyone went easy it was Obama

you could tell it was clear his strategy was to try and stay above a tit-for-tat... I don't think they expected Romney to be so attackish, to change his position on everything, and to be so slimey.

Romney's plan was great, say the President is wrong, I actually want more teachers (or whatever) for 90% of the statement, slip in at the end it is up to the states to do that though, then lie about Obama cutting 714 billion for Medicare.

I wish Obama would have come back on just one of the numerous huge openings Romney left, but he didn't. I think he will change his strategy in the next two debates and be more offensive, and Romney should be afraid of that. He won this one, but only because Obama chose not to go on the offensive, and Romney gave Obama a ton of ammunition to use in the future.

My personal favorite moment, Romney announcing he was going to pay for the $5 trillion tax cut he has be talking about for the last year by actually not having plans for any tax cuts, and going to leave it up to congress to figure it out.
