Is this a trend
For years, Motorola was the oddball with the opposite keys, but now they are switching to the standard arrangement.
So it's not a back-and-forth thing. It's just Motorola that was weird, and they're now fixing that.
Motorola has had to change things around since it as the anomaly.
The problem with this anomaly was that customers who had recently changed to Motorola handsets kept pressing the send key thinking they were ending the call and either invoking call waiting (to the person they were talking to) or calling their last dialed number again (same person they were just on the phone with).
Customers complained to Operators who in turn complained to Motorola.
