You would tether it just the same as if you didnt have the plan...but you at least better have an unlimited media plan, or you're up a river when you get your bill. ;)

Be warned if they notice unusually high usage they have the right to audit your account and will be able to see you are using a Media Net plan for tethering giving them the right to bill you pay per use charges for any wrongful usage.

I've seen it go both ways. Some people never get caught. I probably transfer 8 to 10 gb a month so thats like $80,000 to over $100,000 in charges, I'd never risk it myself.

O yeah, Im not going to risk that either. I was hoping for a way to make sure that doesn't happen but if you can do it in probably not get charged. Thats not good enough for me So đŸ˜ĸ I guess not.

They have to notify you, however, before switching. The "soft cap" is 5gb a month for any unlimited data package (at least with ATT). They'll notify you - and cut you off if it gets excessive.

For regular usage yes but he's looking to add the Unlimited Media Net for $1, not the $60 5GB Data Connect Plan, since it's incorrectly provisioned and being used wrong they won't be so nice about it.

I have the unlimited medianet plan, I use it all the time on my phone and I would like to use it on the computer regularly but ATT says I need to get the $60 tethering plan, which I don't want. So, I want a way to just use what I have now without having to worry about a possible $10,000 charge on my bill.

That is not enoug internet at all. I mean right now I use a program like limewire basically 24/7 on my phone. Downloading music and clips and stuff. I need unlimited but the tethering plan is way to expensive.
