So the coverage that is duplicated under the merger, will they have to sell it to say T mobile, or what happens?

It depends on the FCC. Sometimes they will require "divesting" of spectrum to complete the deal so that it doesn't create a monopoly. Many carriers are expecting this to happen. The main markets that have been mentioned are Dallas, Miami, Orlando and a couple others. Some might be taken care of beforehand like the sale to T-Mobile recently but others will happen close to the end of the year. A couple companies have already said that they will be bidding on spectrum that they will have to get rid of so that is some indication of what is to come.
