whats motorola talking about?

on their site they list different techs, for some reason is seems that PCS is a technology, and when they explain operating frequencies on other techs they just say 1900.

People use the term PCS for a couple things.

1. PCS stands for personal communications service.

2. PCS is a band in the radio spectrum, 1900MHZ.

Right... which is a generic term that doesn't refer to any specific technology. It's a term the FCC came up with when they auctioned off the 1900 MHz spectrum.

NeumZ is right - that page is very misleading. It would be inaccurate just by comparing PCS directly to GSM, CDMA. etc... but the description they use for PCS is also very inaccurate and misleading. Not good. 😡

motorola misleading? there's a shock! man motorola is reminding me of that kid in school who was a genius but just never applied himself when he started smokin' the weed! so much potential and so many let downs. DAMMIT MOTO WE LOVE YOU BUT GET YOUR $HIT TOGETHER!!!!
