WiFi vs Wireless LAN

I thought they where the same. What is the difference? If I have a wireless router, which do I have? Thanks.

Wi-Fi. Wireless LAN is a more generic term that could apply to several technologies. These days for normal consumers it's always Wi-Fi though.
