Job Title TECH DEV STRATEGIST III
Job Description As a Technology Development Strategist III, you will be a subject matter expert in 4G Advanced technologies (WiMAX, LTE, LTE-Advanced, 802.16m, etc.) as it is defined today and as it is expected to evolve over the next several years. With this expertise, you will develop technical strategies to direct network architecture and implementation and guide device, network and product development teams to produce a coordinated evolution of Sprint’s wireless service.
Qualifications:

· Expertise in 4G (LTE and WiMAX) Air Interface technologies

· Global understanding of technology ecosystem for both 3G and 4G technologies

· MS in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science.

· A combination of education and related work experience totaling 11 years post high-school.

· Strong technical writing and verbal communication and presentation skills


Tasks/Duties

· Develop technical strategies to direct network architecture and implementation of 4G and guide internal development teams (device, network and product) to produce a coordinated evolution of Sprint’s wireless service.

· Develop comprehensive technology evolution plans for 4G radio access networks.

· Develop Self Optimization Network (SON) strategies for effective evolution and management of 4G networks.

· Conduct technology evaluation and proof of concept trials

· Develop Competitive 4G Technology Assessment for Sprint.

· Work closely with the internal planning, development and regulatory organizations to help develop Sprint’s overall plans.

· Assist Industry standards team in developing contributions to support Sprint’s position on 3GPP and other relevant standard organizations.

Basic qualifications include:

• Knowledge of the identification and adoption of new, emerging technologies that will be an integral part of the business's success

• Experience with project management and leadership of project implementation over less seasoned engineers

• Experience using general office applications in order to perform work assignments
