Sprint HTC EVO extra $10/month charge

by Winc10    May 18, 2010, 6:29 PM

I seriously doubt anyone is buying this phone to watch TV or use it as a primary camera..............

Here is Sprint's reason for that extra charge:
Thank you for contacting Sprint. I am happy to assist you with plan charges.

I understand that you are not happy with the plan pricing for HTC EVO.
The factors are put in consideration while imposing $10.00 charges for

-The $10 Premium Data fee is for the rich data experience that EVO provides. Our Management put it best when they described the EVO experience like going from regular TV to a High Definition TV.
-Think about when you are in your favorite electronics store looking at the wall of televisions. You can’t help but be drawn to the high-def plasma screens that are larger than life with images you want to reach out and touch.
-EVO’s features are custom made for data-loving customers. With a 4.3 inch display, watching a YouTube video, or your favorite show on Hulu has never been better. Just pop out the handy kickstand and watch videos on-the-go.
-Personal productivity just doubled with two cameras – an 8.0 megapixel auto-focus camera with HD-capable video camcorder and a forward-facing
1.3 megapixel camera.
-Adobe Flash technology ensures that rich Internet content, such as embedded video and animation, display the way they are meant to be seen.

-These data-rich features are available to EVO customers regardless if they are in a 3G or 4G network. Plus faster data speeds if you live in or travel to one of the available 4G markets. Sprint 4G is expected to be available to up to 120 million people across the US by the end of 2010.

We value your business and appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. Please reply to this email or visit if we can be of further assistance.
