😁 I am interested in buying this phone, but I have heard that there is some type of delay when using the PTT feature. - Is this so, and if it's true, how bad a delay is it? - Does it really affect your ability to communicate using the PTT feature on this phone???

Yes, there are delay issues. The intial PTT setup time is 10-14 seconds. Once the connection has been made the conversation is delayed 2-5 seconds per user. If you are a Nextel user you will definitely tell the difference.
The Verizon "buddy" list is not foolproof either. Many times when we tested the phones "buddies" were not online when indicated and other times they were when they were not listed.
To use the Verizon PTT you must have coverage on their National Enhaced Services area. It is much smaller than their standard digital network and forget using the PTT if roaming or on an analog network. The National Enhanced Service area map is not much bigger than Nextel's.
