I'm on alltel and am looking to get a new phone. I've been looking at the Kyocera SoHo KX1. I live several of its features but I worry about its reception in rural areas.

Anybody have any feedback?

Or if you know of a better phone let me know

Thanks,
Johnna

I wouldn't put a kx1 into a rural area. Reception on the fringes of a tower is not the kx1's strong point.

it gets good reception out here, people swear by is strength, but the phone is not sturdy at all, it has a higher rate of breaking when dropped than any other phone.

I would reccomend a nokia 6019I, they tend to be fairly sturdy and get pretty darn good reception in fringe areas.

I don't reccomend the KX1 at all.
