As a former Product Manager the roll out period of any new product is most critical. Success or failure during this time sets the stage for how well the product fairs in the long run.
There has been a lot of pre and relsease comparison of the Pre to the iPhone. Now with Apples announcement of their new GS model and the price reduction on their current generation of iphones it presents some new challenges to Pre.
The first question to ask yourself is what will Palm/Sprint do. I hear online orders and in store sales are going well with stock running out. Is this because of artifically low inventories caused by true product availability or intentional slow release?
