The rumor is that they've started selling the Toshiba VM4050. If that helps. You can call TeleSales (1-888-253-1315). I don't know if thats what you're looking for.

When I talked to some Sprint and Samsung folks at CES, they said that Sprint was considering the i600, but only if and when Samsung can get the 2003 OS working on it.

I thought 2003 was out in Europe??? Is it that big of a deal to get it working here??? Sorry if it's a dumb question I'm just getting into the PDA/phone area

It's not the region, it's the phone and the carriers.

Despite the apparent similarity to the end-user, each device has its own technical quirks. The device manufacturers have to carefully integrate and test each aspect of a new OS with each particular device, then the new combination must be approved by the carrier.

Just because the 2003 OS works well on the HTC Voyager phone, doesn't mean it will work as well (if at all) on the Samsung i600 or Motorola MPx200. The HTC Voyager was designed from the ground-up to be a 2003 phone, while the latter two were designed with the 2002 OS in mind.
