I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I did not and am not "use your handset as a modem." We bought a wireless router for our home dsl line. And since we began using the wireless router, we've been experiencing ALOT of dropped calls at home. Under the sprint service, we are not able to use our cell phones inside the house. We have to step outside to have a successful phone call. And my sister, who has uses Cingular, has no problems at all with their service inside the house. So, to me, Sprint is no longer doing it for me.
