HARDWARE

Android Top class android devices have always been far better equipped than Iphones. And are generally more utilitarian, have better hardware specs and, often, upgradeable secondary memory. A flagship Android smartphone will have 1 or 2 stand out features (bigger/brighter screen, more RAM, faster processor, rugged body). Not without its flaws.

IOS An Iphone is and will always be as good as it can possibly be. The one that you have is the best of is class, not just one of the best. It is what it is and will most likely not have any particular weakness. No stand out features, though, just a good device in general with no major flaws.

SOFTWARE:

Android: Developping apps for android is easier than it is doing so for IOS, the user interface is far more robust, It is the most social-networking connected platform, it's kernell is compatible with a large selection of hardware, there are a lot of apps for android, has better and more refined visuals and every manufacturer can offer a different experience to the end user.

IOS Is straight forward and easier to use than Android, patches and updates are often released, is the fastest among major Mobile OSes, there are tons of apps available for IOS, Apps created for IOS can be as robust as the ones developed for Android, except in some cases when the hardware is the limiting factor.
