See, that's the thing. No one has received a new phone.

I just got off the phone with a rep and my contract is up on the 26th. I remembered that I did sign another year contract with ATT but I was told, by a rep, that I could still upgrade during that year. So the tech that I did just speak with figured that's where the October date is coming from in that I signed the year contract in January, and it's 18 months from that date when one is able to upgrade... but, again, it was only a year contract and she wasn't sure if I would even be able to upgrade then or not...

I know I can transfer the account into my name, but what if I don't want to? It seems that I get a better deal if I am a new user. For example I can get the Samsung Mythic for free if I'm a new user or an upgrader ... but the plans are different. That's an offer from Wirefly.com by the way. If anyone has any opinions on them, as well, let me know because I've never bought a phone through them either Laughing
