Can anyone tell me if it's ok to replace my cell phone battery 700 mah with a new one at 900mah? Thanks
...
that is how much total charge the phone holds. It has nothig to do with it is ok for your phone or not.
What matters is if the batter was made for you phone, and has the same voltage, amperage, connector design, firmware, etc.

Basically, you want to buy a battery made specifically for your phone when looking for a replacement.

Batteries are not standard sizes and generally not compatible between phone models. Therefore, it has to be a battery specifically designed for your phone model. If it is, and it will fit without a larger back cover (or if it comes with one,) then it's fine.
Of course you do take some risk with third-party batteries. Phone manufacturers will generally recommend against them, partly because there have been some isolated cases of poorly-made third-party batteries catching fire (but mostly because manufacturers want you to buy their own, more expensive, batteries.)
