A2DP with Curve 8310 (music via bluetooth)

The Curve supports A2DP, but for some reason, when my Motorola H681 (2.0) is paired, my music plays through the speakerphone on the phone, not the bluetooth headset.

Any ideas why?

um...

The only "key" on the left side of the phone is the PTT (Push To Talk) key.

I can pair the bluetooth headset for voice calls, and it works perfectly.
The problem is just playing the music from my media player through the bluetooth headset (NOT headphones).

My Moto V3xx Maxx (Australian Version) and my Moto H500/H700 worked perfectly for listening to music via A2DP on the headset, but not this combination.

I'm unsure if it's the phone (BB 8310 Curve), or the headset (Moto H681).
If it's the headset, I'd like to return this and buy one that's compatible.

While listening to music, if I press the bluetooth key (also known as the menu key), here is what my options are:
Prev Track
Next Track
Replay
Repeat
Shuffle
Show Playlist
Activate Handset
Switch Application
Close

If I select "activate handset" it turns the speakerphone off, and the music comes out of the phone (if you hold it to your ear).
There is no option for bluetooth in that menu.
