How good is 4G?

Sprint recently made their 4G available in my area and now Comcast is offering a just 4G plan for $30/month if your already a Comcast customer.
So I'm wondering how good is this 4G thing?

I'm currently using a Sprint 3G data card and see they want another $10/month to upgrade to 4G.

But back to my question particularly how good is in building penetration of 4G?
