Porting problems!
Anyone else having difficulty, and if so which carrier(s).
You gotta be careful with ports, if the information isn't right... it can be a real headache.

The only problems with ports that I have had has been porting from Cricket. The other companies have been going through in a matter of hours (one AT&T to Verizon port happened in 10 minutes, no joke). I double check their info, and the customers are bringing me their bills, but they still have trouble porting from Cricket. It has taken a couple of days. Not good when you compare to the other companies.
AT&T? Zowie... I guess they fixed all their problems with Siebel7.
I've done quite a few Centennial-to-VZW ports that have gone through in 3 or 4 hours, and 2 Cingular ports yesterday that took 90 minutes.
Haven't had any problems with port ins from AT&T, Cingular or Sprint 🙂
Despite being able to keep their number, only about half of my customers coming from other carriers even want to keep the old number. Anyone else experience that?

Regular Sprint ports go through in about an hour. T-mobile, and Verizon haven't been a problem. I haven't had a Nextel or Alltel port, yet. I hear Nextel is a bitch. I also have to deal with Hawk electronic's and Progressive concepts customers. These are Cingular numbers that these companies buy from Cingular. Needless to say, these ports are no problem. I think that they ...

I just was doing a port from a landline company, X-O communications. The customer was closing down the office building yet wanted to maintain the # for his business under a wireless phone.
I completed the port-in and came up that resolution was needed. After 45 minutes of talking with VZW port center and X-O communications.... I found out what happened. X-O lost.. Yes.. LOST the phone number in the port. It VANISHED from their system. I had to contact network repair on both sides and I couldnt' do that cause X-O tech support side is closed on sundays. wonderful huh? So the customer lost his phone number. 🤣
Landline ports are another matter. I've only done two, but they have both been total nightmares. Both took over a week, and both took multiple phone calls both to the customer & to the VZW PAC. One was a Bellsouth port and the...
