Here is one for you guys and gals..
Customer walks into my store yesterday. Bought a lg-vx4400 off us about 9 months ago. Phone won't hold a charge. No worries I can send it out to LG for repairs and issue her a loaner.
So I pop the battery off and hand it to her. She asks why I am giving her a part of the phone. I explained to her that batteries are only warrantied for 90 days. If the battery is bad she needs to buy a new one.. though the charging issue may be in the phone and that can be fixed.
She got pissed at me! She kept me busy for 30 minutes screaming saying those little gold charge connectors on the back of the battery were A PART OF THE PHONE AND SHOULD BE UNDER WARRANTY. This went on until I grabbed a wall ac cord and showed her that it could charge that way. She shut up and stormed out with her stuff.
