Android Upgrade?

I just found a customer that has a Sony Xperia U with the international version, according to sony's website there is an upgrade for that phone that originally comes with the android gingerbread 2.3.6 and it can be upgraded to android ice-cream sandwich 4.0.1 but for some reason it is not letting him upgrade, do you have any idea of what the issue could be?

Update over the air won't work for you broseph...
Download the update and install from the SD or desktop software.
