Most of you PSer's at least the Shop Talk and Lounge people are accessing PS at work.... I wanted to know if you know of any sites that you are not firewalled from, of course we are all not firewalled from phonescoop. Maybe we have other similar websites we are not firewalled from.... Just an idea.... Here is a list of some we can access here.
wikipedia.org (all version including wikibooks, wikitionary, etc)
foxnews.com
foxsports.com
howstuffworks.com
digitaltrends.com
discovery.com
wthitv.com
weather.com
etonline.com
I will add more as soon as I figure out what we can and cannot access... add more if you can think of any.
...
Some of these I don't know why we can access here, but we can.
hasbro.com
mattel.com
ask.com (search works, but can't bring up a webpage using search)
One of my coworkers helped me with these:
--------------------------------------------- ---------------
pollypocket.com
barbie.com
monsterhigh.com
hotwheels.com
--------------------------------------------- ------------------
Bestbuy.com
...
Yup. I will add more if I can think of any or if I find any... I would appriciate if anyone can add anymore onto the list to help.... I think I may have cracked the code on mine....
Based on the results they are just using a content filter, and then blocking some specific sites.... This is why sites like Hasbro, Barie and Mattel show up, but others do not.... Those particualar sites are not getting blocked by the content filter... so any sites that will be added to the list are probably either phone related or are "Family Friendly" while sites such as Facebook, google, etc are being blocked by the site itself.
Thus different variation of facebook, google. etc, may not be blocked.... I will test this theory tonight...
...
Let me know if you find any other sites... I'm still searching but so far no luck... I think my theroy is shot out of the water.... but anyway I sent you a PM... message me back when you get a chance.
