Re: Kind of Customers:
M: Well, I don't think they did. My thought is that it was just an app of some sort that read the caller ID outloud to the caller as a polite way to answer.
C: So ATT is selling our ID to outsiders?
M: No, not at all. It simply read your caller ID.
C: So your selling our ID, You need to stop. You are violating our privacy.
M: Ma'am, we arent selling your info. Caller ID is a common, widely used service, used by all carriers and it only shows the name as it appears on the bill.
C: So youre selling copies of our bills????!!!!!!
M: NO! Ma'am, again we value our customers private info, we do not sell it.
*******Repeat above convo over and over and over again for another 20 mins, when it gets to a floor manager who simply reiterates my same points over and over again. It ends with manager saying very politely " you want a solution to this? How about not calling that number again?"********
Incredible to think she thought she was off the grid while owning and operating a cell phone with a major US carrier.
