There are three acceptable pronunciations per Dictionary.com - DEY-tuh, DAT-uh, DAH-tuh

And to be honest, my usage tends to vary depending on the context. I talk to my customers about the amount of DAY-ta that thay've used on the account, but if we're talking about physical connection, I would say DAT-a cable.
