cx: oh, uh... um... no, Xyz is my husband(mom/dad/bf/gf/grandma/Whatever....)
**Me: oh, ok is this the wrong phone number to reach Xyz at?**
cx: uh.. no this is, well, uhmm.. see this is Xyz's account uh...they uh...
Dimmnit!! 👿 is this the right phone number or not?? yes, or no!? its that simple, if i keep calling this number, is Xyz going to EVER answer???
"yes it is, call the other number"
or
"you can reach Xyz at 9876543432"
or just
"this is the wrong number"
"Hi, may i speak with the person who handles the ***** telephone account for the business?"
and i get
"No, take us off the calling list!"
then i respond with
"are you the person who makes decisions on the account?"
answered by
"No! take us off the list!"
then i inform them that the company policy is that only the DM can take the numbers of the calling list, which is almost ALWAYS followed up by
"Oh, well i AM that person."
haha i love messing with them at that point.
"Oh... well you just said you were not that person..."
they usually hang up then.
