What is the weirdest thing you have ever had a customer say to you?
...
C=customer
E=coworker
Coworker is in the process of activating 2 free phones for the customer (one of which his son lost a week later, different story).
C: "I shaved my eyebrows"
E: "You shaved your eyebrows?"
C: "Yeh!, its alright though evertimei do it they grow back."
E: "Well....thats good."
C "I know! I think i might be part lizard because i also had the tip of one of my fingers cut off and it grew back."
E: "um...wow..thats nice sir."
at this point she is totally weirded out by the guy and he asks to use our restroom which isnt for the public but she lets him anyway. Come to find out our manager was watching the cameras and witnessed the customer walk into our restroom after leaving the door open only to spray our febree...

...
OMG!! He sprayed himself with Febreeze? Can you say crazy?? π€£
...
That's creepy. We don't let ANYONE use our restrooms. Mainly because there's a lot of drug use in our area, and bums. They'd probably do the same stuff.
I wish we had a sign that says we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. It's pretty much an unspoken rule in the service industry, but still... it would help.

I had a woman who kept laughing hysterically in between stories about her dead husband and her little brother.
...
Was she laughing about what happened to them?
...
No, she was just talking about her little brother trying to hook her up with his friends since her husband died 2 years ago and was reading her Facebook comments to me and I'm like "oh, man, I SO don't care."
...
At leaet she can laugh about it I guess
...
Would you like me to turn up the volume so you can hear this porno, while i jack off to your voice? π
...
Oh my god,I am so sorry. π€
...
Yeah... I was pissed to say the least πΏ
But on a happy note the guy had been doing it a long time and noone could ever connect him to an acct.... Well he was my very next call and this time I got his acct info. I had noticed the call was incoming from the same number of jerk off. So I have my OPs do some research... And what do you know we finally found out his real name and acct info and he is now w/o Sprint service, was charged an ETF and I pressed charges personally! π π π
...
That rocks! I'm glad you got him. I am so sorry he did that to you
...
Yeah I felt violated, like honestly no joke. It was way F***ed up! But I am glad cuz I got a lil settlement for the mental anguish he put me through π
...
Yay for you!! I'm happy about that. π Just imagine how that guy felt when he got busted and got a call from Sprint saying that they were cancelling his service for abusing reps! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! π€£ π€£
...
π
I think about it all the time π π
...
How is your weekend going besides me dragging up this horriable memory? π

You can sue for that? I didnt even know. Seems kinda weird...
Why not just hang up???
...
ACS employees are not allowed to disconnect a call; regardless of how nasty/absuive the caller is. Best we can do is try to get them connected to a supervisor.
...and sometimes even that doesn't work.

Hung up on a caller. Wasn't a customer, it was some weird little kid with a cell phone who was telling me I was a stupid old lady. I asked a few times if I could help them with their cell phone, and finally said "well if there isn't anything I can help you with, have a good day." and disconnected the call. Yeah I work for ACS. I might fail that QA but it never came up. It's only ever happened once, so I'm not worried about it. Perhaps I assume quality has some common sense. Could be a dangerous assumption... lol

I had a different one today:
Cust: I just got a new pre-paid phone with the $100 card to add minutes to it and I've got a quick question for you..
Me: Sure, how can I help you?
Cust: Where do I stick the card?
MeβΉοΈstaying completely silent for a moment while I let the question soak in and avoid saying the first thing that comes to mind)
π π π π

What was the first thing that came to mind? I just have to know π€£

So...being retired from the Navy myself, obviously the first thing I thought of was "you can stick it in your a$$ sir"
But, our calls are recorded so I thought that discretion would be the better part of valor and avoid some conflict with my QA department
...
First off, thank you for your service sir. I do appricate what you did for our country. Second off, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! That would have been the coolest thing to hear on a call, and to top it off,"sir" would have been the best part! π€£

We had this lady who would call in about every six to eight months. She is from our city. She sounds down and depressed. You ask what is wrong.
Then she tells you she just shot her two kids and is staring at their limp bodies.
I tried to get some info but she was vague. Then before she hung up she said that she just wanted to talk to someone before she shot her self. Then the phone goes dead!
...
Creepy.....Every six to eight months she does this phone call or just calls?
...
That is scary ****... π³
...
weirdest thing would be last week...talked to an eastern indian dude.
said that lebanese terrorists were using alpha tag technology to break into his online account manager.
the conversation came about as he was whining about how he always had to have his password reset & how big of an inconvenience it was to keep calling in & getting it reset as the lebanese had technology that far surpassed any safety measures that at&t might have set up to protect his privacy. basically, he was saying it was a joke.
he was such a whinebag...resulted in his registration being cancelled in the middle of the phone call causing the call to drop π²
...
Wow,weird for sure. I wonder if he was serious or not....
...
I think the pigger question is why would they be after him? Did he steal some plutonium to power hix flux capacitor? I hear that's all those lebanese terrorists are good for... π
...
that sounded like a gay guy would have said it. π
...
What excatly was said?
...
"Darlin, your body is one curvaceous work of art."
...
Do you work in a store or in a call center?
...
a store. It's a lot easier to handle crap like that when people call in.
You just ignore it.
But when someone is right in front of you, it's just awkward. π
...
That just means you are a beautiful woman. I'm sorry such a creep told you that way π
...
I just had an old southern belle from Tennessee call me and go on about all her health problems ("I'm about to just fall down day-ed, honey") and her finances ("I only get $650 every month, honey") and her awful children ("honey, my daughter's 18 and she just had a bay-bee and I don't even know who the fah-tha is and she says she learned how to be that way from me! I don't know how; I haven't been with a may-an in 8 years, not since me and her daddy got dee-vorced") and how she never could've made it without Jesus. For 45 minutes. π³
...
I miss those crazy ladies from the south who talk with their silly southern drawls.
Especially the types that live in trailers.
My favorite call:
Customer: I NEED THUH INTRABAND IN MAH TRAILER! CAN YEW HEY-LP ME WITH THAY-AT?! AND MAH HUSBIND NEEDS IT IN 'IS 18-WHEELAH!
...
Old Southern people are cool π They have great stories

For a while we were getting calls at my call center that were a recording, I think, of a woman reading something. It described a fairly brutal murder, and frankly I found it so creepy I didn't listen long before saying the dear air script and ending the call.
...
I never got to hear it, though. I was very disappointed!
...
Do you remember what was said? That is some creepy stuff π³
...
smaziAug 23, 2010, 9:11 AM
Something about ripping flesh. Spooky.
...
Wow,freaky. I had a woman who was threatening to kill herself if we didn't help her. I thought she was being dramatic until I heard the gun go off. She says did you hear that, that's only one of the 6 rounds. I'll use the next one on me if you don't do something to fix this π²

We have this one woman that comes in every so often and each time she gets weirder and weirder. One time she came in my coworker got her, and she wound up telling her that she was an alien. She was born on the day of the Roswell events, and said that she needs her phone to work because they are eventually going to call her to let her know they are coming back for her. π
She came back in the next week to get another phone, and when I went to transfer her numbers my transfer machine decided to stop working. I came out of the back room to let her know it was gonna take a little longer than expected, and she informed me that she had put a voodoo curse on my machine the night before. Because she's a voodoo witch. π€¨ Now, I can te...

Where I live there is a woman who stands on a street corner and panhandles and she stands on her corner and talks to herself. She sometimes starts swinging at cars and calling them "monsters". I heard a story from someone one time that she said she was only here to finish off the human race so the bugs can take over. She is one creepy lady
...
This is what this guy said, and he said it because he didn't like the fact that he couldn't upgrade to a free smartphone after just 3 months of being in a new contract:
"I'd rather my daughter married a n***er than get a phone with (our company)!"
I terminated that call right away.
...
OMG!!! π³ What the hello is wrong with that guy. I think I probably would have done the same thing
...
I don't really remember the situation, but a customer was mad with my employee and I reaffirmed that what my employee was saying was correct. As she was leaving she turned around to me and said, "Well you have a hairy neck!" π³
...
just told customer to go to a store because she cant take the back off her nokia 6350 then she starts rambling on and on about how she was just on the phone w/an indian rep to try to fix her laptop & her printer (says it's essential to her that it always works because she's a SERIOUS script writer. yep. that was the exact word, SERIOUS.) then she said the rep used to work for bill gates & actually told her that bill gates made a deal w/indians. the secret was that b.g. will give them the gift of job security as an exchange for their excellence in technology. all they need to do is make sure the computers won't work every 3 months so americans will keep calling in & that's why there are a lot of call centers in india. i dunno if she had anyth...
