I really want to get a side slide, but i dont like what VZW has to offer and I am under contract with them ☹️ .... The Rival is like the best slider I like but I REALLY DONT WANT touch screen.... Anyone know if it is possible for me to get a Sprint LG Rumor and use it on my VZW acct???

You should be able to just have to call your carrier and activate the new sim

Yeah, just switch the sim cards, they are located behind the screen of the phone. you have to pry it off and it voids the warranty but it's so worth it.

rather than getting a LG Rumor from sprint, buy one from Alltel because it is already programmed to use the verizon towers, then just get your rep to switch your ESN, if they ask what kind of phone it is tell them it is a comparable VZW phone.

and shame on all of you who think every wireless carrier uses SIM cards! 🙄 That should have been one of the first things you learned working in the wireless industry.

Huh? The OP said AT&T. AT&T does use Sim card based tech. An AT&T phone with GSM/UMTS will not work on the Verizon network.

Without flashing or unlocking the phone, you won't be able to use the Sprint LG Rumor on the VZW network. However, anytime you do get a phone flashed, you generally lose your picture messaging and mobile web capabilites. Your best option: switch to Sprint and get a Samsung Exclaim. Best slider phone available in my opinion. And I don't even sell Sprint anymore.
Plus Verizon sucks. The opening of my store across the strip mall has led to the closure of their store. MWAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Yeah... I really SUPER want the exclaim and as soon as i saw it I was totally bummed that I had just signed a new 2yr w/ vzw for bonus minutes, so now im under contract and my phone is crapping out on me 👿 👿 👿

Take the phone back to Verizon and tell them instead of having to give you a new phone they can just waive the ETF 🙂
