what is this and how do i get it to not show up where the softkey options are on the homescreen? when i push it it starts updating vision software....does this mean i am getting charged for data usage by letting it update? i went into the phone icon glossary and there were icnos for r-link on and r-link off....

its the CDMA equivalent of iDen direct connect.
Can't tell you how to change the soft key options though. And provisioning transaction dont generally incur casual usage charges.
