Deactivated SIM in a GoPhone?
My father wants me to reactivate an old Cingular phone he used to use as a GoPhone so he can use it to call his girlfriend since she uses Cingular. But, the activation system at work keeps kicking it back, saying "SIM is permanently disabled". So would he basically be looking at buying a new SIM card or phone, or is there something else we might be able to do?

I was simply looking for a way to minimize costs for my dad since money isn't abundant in my house. I knew chances were slim, but I still figured I might as well try.
