I have a lady on the line who says her name is Michael.
This is how her call started.
ding. MASS MEDIA
Customer "Michael, go get your drivers liscense for me. Hello?"
Me " Thank you for calling cingular wireless, my name is fauxdemon, are u calling to establish new wireless service today?"
C "Yes"
M "Great. Id be more than happy to help you with that. What is your name?"
C "Its under Michael ******* "
M " Oh. Do you have an account with us."
C " No."
M " Ok. So what is YOUR name?"
C " Michael"
M "Your name is Michael?"
C "Yes"
I must seem like an idiot to this idiot.

We must be in the same queue. My favorite was the 16 year old who wanted to use his father's SSN to set up service and wondered why I couldn't do that. BTW, he only had the last 4 of the social anyway... 😳
