I'm not. As far as I know, they mandate that all their manufacturers use the same connector for the convenience of their customers. There might be a few that don't have it, but everything I ever saw when I sold Sprint did.

Dude. Next time you go to work look at all of your Sprint phones. Notice that they all have the same mini-barrel connector regardless of manufacturer. Open up boxes for Sprint phones from 2 or 3 different manufacturers and notice that the included chargers all have the same tip. Look at this:

and notice that the compatibility list includes Sprint phones manufactured by LG, Samsung and Sanyo.

Call your Sprint account rep and ask him if they've been using a standardized charger since sometime in 2004.

Any one of these things should provide suitable evidence.

you are the idiot, besides the fact that that particular charging port is not "sprint", sprint knows nothing about chargers and if they did they would make thier own phones, that charging port can be found on every company... and last time i checked nokia, RIM and treo dont use your "sprint barrel charger" half of sprints phones dont have that charger and kyocera who is not in sprints selection all use that freaking charger. small-time phones not made for sprint, like the lg 5550 use that charging port and in conclusion you are a moron.

Wow. I never claimed that the mini-barrel connector was exclusive to Sprint, just that it has been standard on all Sprint phones released in the last year or so. You'll notice that LG phones made for every other manufacturer use a proprietary connector, but their Sprint phones (even high end ones) have a mini-barrel jack too. Same applies to Samsung.

A Lot of LG phones made for every other "Carrier" have that same connector as well, like i mentioned the 5550, and the 3200 (phone never even intended for sprint) to name a couple. and again almost every kyocera phone has that charging port and to my knowledge sprint does not carry kyocera.

Have you ever seen a Motorla phone? Right now, Motorola has 3 different charging ports on their top 3 selling phones... There is no mandate that states a manufacturer must keep the same charging port to keep customers convenienced. Even Nokia now offers two differnt charging ports for the phones they sell in the US. Lastly, Sprint has NEVER intentionally had every phone with the exact same ports on them. How could that satisfy competition in the US if Sanyo, Qualcomm, Samsung and Toshiba (older Sprint brands) all had the same charger?
