US Cellular uses other carriers outside of their local network area. Their coverage is as good as those other carriers' coverage.
As a USCC agent for the past two years, I've not heard any complaints about coverage when traveling outside of "The Network". As a mater of fact, I remember most people saying that they got great reception even while roaming.
