How would you handle a situation in which a customer purchased a phone from your store, never activated it, and then came back, said the phone was stolen, and now they want you to mark the phone as lost or stolen. If the phone was never activated, how can you put a status on it? Would you activate the ESN long enough to mark it as lost or stolen and then put the orginal ESN back on?

With ATT you could just blacklist the imei whether it was activated or not. I would assume it would be a similar situation.

We can file a case and it asks us to enter the imei number to be blocked.
