if someone's dead

but no one knows it and no one pronounces them dead and their accounts keep getting used and taxes keep getting paid.

How long until the IRS bothers you or comes looking? I bet around 120 they have a default red flag that pops up.

If I had B.A. credit I'd pass it on to my kids. My thoughts: throw me in a box and bury me, dust to dust. 🙂

Would never happen. The whole point of stealing someones idenentiy is so you can make money off it directly or indirectly.

The only exemption is someone trying to hide from their past life, but I don't think they'll be that careful, just stay clean enough to stay out of jail, and that's about it.

Good question tho.

I don't know about never. My kids would benefit from it tremendously. Low interest, no death tax (50%!!), etc.
