Certain states in the North east have been known to have a statewide no tax day where the state taxes are forgiven on all purchases for the day. From houses to candy bars, no state tax. Its a move to inspire commerce.

well you could move to oregon and every DAY is tax free.. we have no sales tax at all but our income tax is appartly higher so its a give and take. would you prefer to have higher taxes off your paycheck or have to pay extra at a store?

some groceries... its kinda odd, ya a bit of math is involved... its 6%, so i do 10%(move the . one place over), then take half of that and add it to the total for a guestimate...

oops sorry just noticed someone already said that. I like the fact that the state taxes are taken out of my check rather than paying sales tax cuz then I don't see it so I dont really miss it and I pay what it says on the price tag. 🙂
