Customers on hold, can he change a blackberrys PIN? Stumped by this question.... 😳 ...never been asked before.

Not if the PIN he is asking aboout is the PIN printed on the label behind the battery. that pin is a type of ESN for the device and connot be changed.

If you is asking for the security pin in the device then im sure he can if he knows the current one

If he doesn't know it, he needs to contact the manufact.... RIM has some way to do it, but I'm not aware of how.

Had a customer earlier today that had notes on his account about a PIN. Evidently it is used to get into the website to configure the BBerry. AT&T Cust Service has access to reset the PIN for a BBery via the website... The user has to be able to athenticate that they legitimately got the phone. The CSR was able to verify by getting one of the original email addresses from the original owner...

Representatives for AT&T customer care have the option to create an account for the BB support website and get the password emailed to their supervisors. Not all reps know about this and even fewer take the time to apply for the login, as it is not required and much easier to just transfer to tech.
Those few of us who have these logins can often override PINs and provide customer's temp pins based on their IMEI.
If you found a rep that can do this then congrats, but it doesn't happen often, and is not something you should look forward to every time.
