Has anyone heard if a strike was called?

Not yet they reached a 24 hour agreement to do business as usual for today. We will know more this evening but there is NO agreement on the next 3 year contract from either side.

I think a good strike is exactly what this industry needs.

Conditions won't change unless the carriers are forced into doing it.

No....I've been on strike.I've walked a picket line.Nobody wins.You never recover what you lose.What you need are good negotiators,armed with unassailable facts and figures that prove your demands are reasonable.

Well said. The young reps in our area don't fully understand the long term affects of a strike. Customer's get mad, some leave, some will take it out on you when you come back. Lets not even talk about the financial problems it will cause for those with families.
