Sometimes, the elderly folks make this job worth it.
An old man just came and upgraded his old-old-old-old phone for a new one.
I showed him some phones, and he was astounded at all they could do. He kept saying, "This is just like a computer!"
Eventually, he settled on a Motorola RAZR, because it "looked like something from one of those sci-fi movies".
He has used a total of 4 minutes on his phone in the past 2 years. Two of those calls he didn't even mean to make.
He was as happy as I had ever seen an old man, and walked away like a kid who just was given the keys to a candy store.
He was happily snapping away pictures as he left.
As it turns out, I probably just made an 80 year-old man's month about 100 times better, because he got a new toy.
