it was very strange. In that kind of artsy way, you know? It was good, though, happy ending and all. i was thinking it was a bit more adult than it turned out to be. it just seemed like when it came out there was this talk about it being gratuitious or something. But it was good, and clean and all.

Actually, my son likes vampire movies and her likes rock music. I agree that the film was not a highly rated movie but, its a fun movie to watch.

time after time we are besieged with bad Vampire movies..i started to watch Van Helsing for the 2nd time (the missis hadn't seen it yet) and i couldn't finish..CGI run amok and BAD acting,,Richard Roxburgh deserves a stake thru the heart for making Dracula a flamer and the Frankenstein monster was a wuss!!
Aaliyaa in QOTD's performance was hysterical!! (yes i know it wasn't meant to be) and while i liked the idea of a rock star vampire, i couldn't imagine the logistics of putting on a concert that large...and no one catching on,,,unless of course there were perty lil race cars goin left...
That leaves me w Bram Strokers Dracula.once again hilarious performances from Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder, Gary oldman deserved better..

the problem with bram strokers is that the missis LOVES it..

good vampire movies..
1) Near Dark-a whole different twist..redneck nomadic vampires on a roadtrip cross the south..and vampirism is curable by transfusion!
2)Fright Night-a little dated looking yes, but a good story and great characters, particularly Chris Sarandon
3)Blade 1 and 2-hopefully Trinity is just as good..although the CGI in 2 was suspect at times
4)embrace of the Vampire-i think thats right...the one with Dafoe playing Max Shreck..the actor who played Nosferatu as a real vampire.
